I.  Statement of Faith by the Church of Christ in Amarillo at Winners Circle

The Church of Christ believes that Jesus is the Son of God, and was in the beginning with God, and by him were all things created, and that Christ has preeminence over things pertaining to the church of Christ.  (Col 1:15-18)That Jesus promised to build his church, and the gates of hell would not prevail against it. (Matt 16:18-19)

That all power in heaven and in earth is given to Jesus; and thereby he commanded his Apostles to go and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, Son and the Holy Ghost, and promised to be with all who observed the teachings of the Apostles.  (Matt 28:16-20)

The Lord’s day worship service consists of prayer, singing, scripture reading and preaching and observing the communion of the body and blood of the Savior, Jesus Christ.

The worship service is open to the public, and signage provides notice that all are invited to worship each Sunday at 10:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.

II. Government for the Church in Amarillo at Winners Circle

The members of the church of Christ shall be governed by the promises, commands and grace of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Whereas God rules in the nations of men (Daniel 4:25) and Jesus requires his disciples be in obedience to the law of the land (Rom 13:1-3), until and unless such laws conflict with the perfect will of God; in such circumstances of conflict it is better to obey God than man (Acts 5:29)

Whereas Jesus required that his disciples must continue in his word in order to know the truth; and the truth shall make them free.  (John 8:31-32)

Whereas Jesus said her will love those that keep his commandments, as he also kept the Father’s commandments, and God loved him (John 15:10)

Whereas Jesus sent his Apostles into all the world to teach his commandments, and promised to be with those who observed the Apostles teaching.  (Matt 28:16-20)

Where the Apostles (Romans 1:1) were separated and sent into all the world teaching the gospel of God, which is the power of God unto salvation. (Romans 1:1)

Whereas we find examples of believers observing the Apostles teaching respecting baptism, (Acts 2:38-39) and continuing steadfastly in the apostles’ teaching and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers (Acts 2:41-42)
